This sleek other-worldly bottle opener features a pressure opening mechanism. To use, push down on the bottle cap remover. A magnet inside holds onto the metal cap once it has been removed from the bottle neck.

Giovanni Jr. is the son of Alessio, grandson of Carlo and great-grandson of Giovanni, founder of Alessi. Like a number of his fourth-generation cousins, he makes a point of using both of the family surnames: Alessi Anghini. After a period at Stefano Giovannoni's studio in Milan, Giovanni Jr. is taking his first steps in the designer's profession. A short while ago he presented this bottle opener to Alessi featuring a pressure opening mechanism, an ingenious idea in this his "opus one", that they were happy to develop and put into production.
