Arturo Alvarez presents the Shio table lamp, composed of panels of FSC-certified laminated plywood used in an original way. With the plywood's zebra grain in full view and different interior accent colors between the panels of plywood, Shio allows light to escape between the laminated plywood panels. The goal of the use of this new diffusing material is to obtain more ecological and sustainable designs. A universal shape combined with the beauty of the innovative materials, allows for a series that is at once both easily understood and thought-provoking. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Shio and Uxi products are donated to a non-profit organization responsible for re-foresting the depleted rainforests of Brazil. The interior accent colors are available in white, yellow or wenge. All Shio items include a top diffuser.
