All LBL surface-mounted transformers are encased in a satin nickel finish metal housing and mount to any standard ceiling electrical box. Typically, a surface-mounted transformer is used when an accessible location above the ceiling or in a utility closet is unavailable for installing a remote transformer. The transformer includes a unique 36" coaxial feeder (shortenable at the time of installation) with a braided steel outer jacket that complements the rail system- if shortened, the feeder appears similar to a solid satin nickel straight stem. 2 X 12V 150W output, controllable independently on the primary side (two wall switches can be used, for example, to control each circuit separately). For dimming, an electronic low voltage dimmer (sold separately) is required.
