All LBL surface-mounted transformers are encased in a satin nickel finish metal housing and mount to any standard ceiling electrical box. Typically, a surface-mounted transformer is used when an accessible location above the ceiling or in a utility closet is unavailable for installing a remote transformer. The transformer includes a unique 36" coaxial feeder (shortenable at the time of installation) with a braided steel outer jacket that complements the rail system- if shortened, the feeder appears similar to a solid satin nickel straight stem. 2 X 12V 250W output, controllable independently on the primary side (two wall switches can be used, for example, to control each circuit separately). For dimming, a magnetic low voltage dimmer (sold separately) is required.
