The fixture consists of a small ceiling mount, which can be trimmed to a specific size or left at its full length of 13 feet. The rubber bulb holder swivels in any direction and houses the fixture's On/Off switch. Parentesi's lamp moves vertically via the sliding of its painted or nickel-plated shaped steel tube on the ceiling-to-floor cable. The Parentesi simply plugs into any wall outlet.
