At Simon Pearce, the potters use a combination of new methods and traditional throwing techniques that date back thousands of years. Each piece is created one at a time and finished using traditional hand-glazing techniques. As a result, each piece has its own distinct character. The pottery begins with clay that is a combination of porcelain and stoneware, the ingredients are derived from deposits in England and Tennessee. The clay is then handcrafted by Master potters in the U.S. Each piece is stamped with the Simon Pearce pontil. This pontil is the trademark of handmade quality. Simon Pearce lamps will retain their functionality and beauty for years to come.
