Beta is the answer to the complicated terrain of hallway/passageway lighting. The challenge was to achieve comfort lighting, a pleasant and welcoming light that welcomes you without reflections or glare. Beta achieved this with a metal plate on the front of the pressed glass diffuser. The result is a halo of light surrounding the lamp, which seems to be inspired by the beautiful effect of solar eclipses, just at the moment when the sun is hidden but framed in its powerful light.
